North Florida Fishing Camp ("we," "us," or "our") is a summer camp program operated by Tides Fishing Company, LLC, based in Jacksonville, Florida. We can be reached at:

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information about you and your child when you visit our website or register for camp.

Information We Collect

When you register your child for camp through our website, we collect:

  • Parent/Guardian information: name, email address, mailing address, phone number

  • Camper information: name, age, shirt size, medical conditions, allergies, emergency contacts, photo release status, and waiver acknowledgments (collected via our camper details form)

  • Payment information: processed securely through Wix Payments — we do not store credit card numbers on our servers

  • Order information: camp session purchased, payment status, registration date

We also collect basic technical information when you visit our site (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) through standard analytics.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Process your camp registration and payment

  • Communicate with you about your child's camp registration (welcome messages, reminders to complete the camper details form, schedule updates, weather cancellations)

  • Provide camp safety and emergency response (medical info, emergency contacts)

  • Order camp shirts and supplies

  • Maintain records required by Florida camp licensing and our insurance carrier

  • Respond to your questions

SMS / Text Message Communications

By providing your phone number during camp registration checkout, you consent to receive transactional SMS text messages from North Florida Fishing Camp related to your camp registration. These messages include:

  • A welcome confirmation after you complete registration

  • Reminders to complete the required camper details form

  • Important camp updates such as schedule changes or weather alerts

We do not share mobile phone numbers with any third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are used solely by North Florida Fishing Camp to communicate with parents about their camp registration.

Message frequency is approximately 1 to 5 messages per camp registration. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message. You can also reply HELP for help, or contact us directly at (904) 860-8361.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the camp:

  • Service providers: Wix (website hosting and order processing), Monday.com (registration management), Jotform (camper details collection), Gmail (email delivery), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Intuit QuickBooks (accounting). These providers have access only to the information needed to perform their service.

  • Medical professionals and emergency responders: if your child requires medical attention while at camp, we will share medical and emergency contact information with treating providers.

  • Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety of campers, staff, or others.

How We Protect Your Information

We use industry-standard security measures (encrypted connections, secure hosting via Wix, password-protected internal systems) to protect your information. Payment information is processed through PCI-compliant payment processors and is never stored in our internal systems.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain camp registration records for at least 7 years for tax, insurance, and licensing purposes. After that, records are deleted unless required by law.

Your Rights

You may request to:

  • See what information we have about you and your child

  • Correct any inaccurate information

  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)

  • Opt out of marketing communications (we do not currently send marketing communications)

  • Opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any text message

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our website is intended to be used by parents or legal guardians registering their children for camp. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All information about minor campers is provided by their parent or guardian at registration.

If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 directly from them, please contact us at joecarraway@tidesfishingcompany.com and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Significant changes will be communicated via email to active registrants.
