Joe is a Jacksonville, Florida local. He grew up fishing the waters in Jacksonville. Growing up, Joe fished the greater Jacksonville Kingfish tournaments, Flounder Pounder, Kayak tournaments and many more. His first job in high school was at Browns Creek Fish Camp where his passion for fishing grew. He was able to interact with charter captains, shrimp boat captains and just great fishermen in general to further his fishing and boating knowledge. After high school, Joe joined the United States Navy for 4 years. After getting out of the Navy he furthered his education at Jacksonville University where he studied Engineering and went on to finish his studies at the University of Michigan graduating with a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He then moved back to his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida where he started his fishing brand Tides Fishing Company. His passion for fishing has led him to starting North Florida Fishing Camp to extend his love for fishing on to so many others.
